Of all the gratitude expressed in the Birkot HaShachar, the morning blessings, the blessing thanking G-d for “crowning Israel with glory” stands apart. Whereas the other gifts mentioned in the blessings are mostly concrete in nature, this one is rather intangible. 

In this activity from Makom, we examine history, visual art, music, and poetry in order to deepen our understanding of this blessing, exploring what glory means in the context of our individual and collective identities.
